Just the Basics Financial Literacy produces workshops, seminars, teleconferences and webinars centered on FUNdamental Financial Literacy Education. Established in 2013, Just The Basics is a dba of Rolling Enterprises, Inc. which has been in existence since 2008.
The financial education that Me’Shae teaches is targeted towards diverse affinity groups including low-to-moderate income individuals, working and middle-class professionals, entrepreneurs, women and minorities, people of faith, youth and young adults, seniors, immigrant populations, persons with disabilities, and veterans. Companies and organizations can engage Me'Shae's services for their clients or employees' professional development.
Just the Basics' interactive curriculum includes activities, games, and multi-media presentations.
Me’Shae is the author of “How To Save Money & Organize Your Finances: Tales of an Urban Consumer” (2006), as well as a Course Handbook compiling the financial literacy curriculum she developed (2018). She is a Certified Financial Literacy Educator and is an FDIC Train-the-Trainer. She earned her Masters Degree in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
Entrepreneurially, Me'Shae is the executive director emerita of the Upstate Minority Chamber of Commerce (Syracuse and Central New York's minority chamber of commerce); is a franchised Owner/Operator of EventPrep; and has received MWBE certification status with the City of Syracuse, New York state, and the NY/NJ Minority Supplier Development Council.
Me'Shae both frequents and has presented at national financial education conferences. Subsequently, she has aggregated national and local resources for her organizational clients and adult learners. Me'Shae has been quoted by "Consumer Reports" magazine, and is regularly invited to speak, teach and present on financial education, the longtime passion of her heart.
Me'Shae serves on a number of executive and advisory boards benefiting Central New Yorkers including The Salvation Army, OnPoint for College, Onondaga County CA$H Coalition affiliated with The United Way, and the Central New York Community Foundation Black Excellence & Equity Fund.
Me'Shae is the Executive Producer of the 2025 Financial Empowerment Convention. On a personal testimonial note, Me'Shae has experienced the gamut ranging from multiple downsizings and ensuing debt, to professional and entrepreneurial success as a business owner.
